Throughout our history, Cambridge Trust Company has been an integral part of our communities and our customers' lives. All Cambridge Trust Company employees are encouraged to give of their time and talents to contribute to the community. It's just one of the qualities that makes us different.

Some Activities and Organizations We Support:

At our company's core is a dedication to and participation in a wide range of community activities and volunteer organizations. The bank's staff lends technical expertise, experience, and judgment to many organizations.

Here are a few examples of our community involvement:


Cambridge Family & Children's Service

Originally founded in 1873 as an orphanage for children, the mission of Cambridge Family & Children's Service (CFCS) is to strengthen families and promote conditions that provide children and adolescents with stable homes and community environments.

Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund

The Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund (CHAF) is committed to preserving the diversity and character of the city of Cambridge by providing an economical bridge to housing for homeless and near homeless families and individuals. Funds donated to CHAF assist those in need with the startup costs of rental housing.

Concord Carlisle Community Chest

The Community Chest supports 26 agencies that offer a broad range of community services such as food pantry, domestic violence counseling, adult respite care, adoption service, substance abuse, and adolescent programs.

First Literacy

First Literacy was founded in 1988 to help primarily low income, minority, and immigrant adults gain sufficient literacy to enable them to get and hold jobs. Its programs have helped over 27,000 people to attain high school diplomas and improve their English skills.

Lexington Education Foundation

Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) is dedicated to funding grants bringing today's technologies, training, and innovative instruction into the classroom and the hands of every student. LEF funds grants across a wide spectrum of academic disciplines and areas including math, science, language arts, social sciences, the arts, and physical and social wellness.

Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House

The mission of the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House is to strengthen families and individuals in the Area IV neighborhood of Cambridge and secondarily, in the city of Cambridge. 

The Philanthropy Connection

The Philanthropy Connection inspires, teaches, and enables women to engage in collective philanthropy, in order to provide high-impact grants to charitable organizations that create innovative ways to improve the quality of life for low-resource individuals and families living in Massachusetts.

United South End Settlements

The mission of United South End Settlements (USES) is to build a strong community by improving the education, health, safety, and economic security of low-income individuals and families in Boston's historic South End/Lower Roxbury neighborhood and to serve as a national model of successful neighborhood engagement.

New Hampshire

Capital Center for the Arts

Created and sustained by the people of New Hampshire, the Capitol Center for the Arts inspires, educates, and entertains audiences by providing both the finest venue for the performing arts and a wide range of professionally excellent and artistically significant presentations. It also serves as a resource and gathering place for the community at large.

Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire

The Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire (EFNH) strives to tap into the energy and resources of entrepreneurs, making philanthropy part of the DNA of doing business in New Hampshire. Their goal is to involve entrepreneurs, company management, employees, and investors in philanthropy as a way to support New Hampshire's quality of life and the health of communities for the long term.
